INGENIUM’S BIMVISIBLE WINS AN INNOVATION AWARD AT THE ‘BELGIAN CONSTRUCTION AWARDS’

The Belgian Construction Awards, organized by Bouwkroniek, want to put the craftmanship of the construction sector in the spotlight and award it. Our BIMVISIBLE APP obtained a nice second place in the category Innovation Process/IT.

The intuitive BIMvisible app that Ingenium has developed together with Savaco and In The Pocket, uses Augmented Reality to apply BIM models full-scale 'onto' the real-life situation.

For example, by pointing your smartphone at a false ceiling, you can 'see' which technical components are located there, without having to open the ceiling. The information linked to each component – real-time information from sensors, the installer’s contact details, and the like – is centralized in the app and can be easily consulted. This represents a huge time gain when solving comfort & other technical problems, in addition to obtaining a much better insight into the installations. Meanwhile the test case at the Vandemoortele Food Experience Center in Ghent has already proved a success.
