Energy plan Gasthuisberg, UZ Leuven

Ingenium has been charged by the Leuven University Hospital management to establish the energy plan for the complex located at the Gasthuisberg site.

The Energy Plan was established in accordance with the Energy Plan Decree and declared compliant by the Flemish Energy Agency (Vlaamse Energieagentschap – VEA). It comprises a general study and detailed studies of the various HVAC- and electrical circuitry systems. To perform some of the specific detailed studies, Ingenium collaborated with Daidalos-Peutz  for IR measurements, as well as advice regarding physical construction issues and Technofluid for compressed air leak detection.

In 2010, the first energy plan update was succesful.  All required measures were executed (for example: timing on the ventilation units).  A few saving proposals were made, such as putting the CHP back into service.  All the measures were  implemented by the hospital, according to the specified time frame by Energy Plan.
